KeyForge Goes Digital!
In an update posted to the official KeyForge website, initial plans for the development of an official digital version of KeyForge have been outlined, something that players have long awaited since the game’s introduction and premise of unique decks in 2018.
“We know Archons have been waiting to take their epic battles for control of the vaults to the digital space, and the Architects are just now beginning to build the foundation for this platform.” the article reads.
The project, titled KeyForge: Digital, is being developed by a new software development subsidiary formed under Stranger Stars called Digytal Designs LLC, also headquartered in Roseville, MN.
Although the article did not commit to a specific release date, some details were provided as to what players can expect to see in the digital client, including a demo animation.
“The success of the KeyForge Noir project is the driving force behind the team to build the features we know players want out of a digital KeyForge client, such as rich animation, graphics, and sounds”. What can KeyForge Digital do? Using any device-connected camera, players can scan any KeyForge card and be presented with a rich 8-bit animated rendering of that card on demand.
Players will not be able to use the app to play the game virtually, but “the KeyForge Digital client will be allowed for use in both Retail and Premiere events, allowing players to scan their cards and experience rich digital animations while they play the physical card game.” the article writes in closing. “We know this is exactly what players have been wanting for, and we’re happy to bring it to them at a future date.”

Master Vault Numbers
As of March 31, 2024, a total of 3,232,075 decks were registered in the Master Vault. This reflects an increase of 5795 decks in the last week, and an increase of approximately 300,000 decks since April 1, 2023. Today is April 1st. You certainly must know what day it is by now right? Right?
Glad to see Bräkken finally releasing some music. Can’t wait to hear more.
