Æmber Skies Campaign Takes Off

The Gamefound crowdfunding campaign for KeyForge: Æmber Skies went live this past Thursday April 18, 2024, flying by its funding goal of $50,000 USD in 16 minutes and 49 seconds. As previously reported, players can “back” the campaign by pledging at one of multiple pledge tiers. In addition to the pledge contents, backers receive any unlocked stretch goals, as well as a Skyborn house pin if they previously followed the campaign.

Prior to the launch of the campaign, Ghost Galaxy posted an update on Monday April 15, acknowledging the feedback they had received since announcing the pledge tiers just a few days before. As a response, Ghost Galaxy made adjustments to most of the tiers — including reduced pricing and/or additional items. The available pledge tiers are now as follows:

UPDATED PLEDGE TIERS:

• Novice of the Crucible — $60 USD (No change)

• Seeker of Decks — $75 USD (Reduced from $88)

• Reaper of Æmber — $165 USD
  (0→1 "Skybeast" deck)

• Breaker of Chains — $450 USD
  (1→6 “Skybeast” decks)

• Turner of Keys — $795 USD
  (3→6 storage box sets, 3→9 “Skybeast” decks)

• Architect of the Crucible — $1,500 USD
  (3→12 storage box sets, 9→18 “Skybeast” decks)

• Architect of the Crucible Premium* — $2,000 USD
  (3→12 storage box sets, 9→18 “Skybeast” decks)

*Limited to ten backers, max one per backer. Sold out at the time of publication.

At the time of publication, Ghost Galaxy has raised over $180,000 USD in funding. The campaign runs until May 6th. One more thing…

But Wait… There’s MORE

Leading up to the campaign’s launch, Ghost Galaxy shared details on the KeyForge Home Base program. As part of that, they shared information on KeyForge: MORE Mutation, a retailer exclusive set which KeyForge Home Base retailers (retail campaign backers) can order in limited quantities.

Featuring a foundation of cards from the original Mass Mutation card pool, MORE Mutation adds a total of 11 new Gigantic creatures, for a grand total of 14 (two per house), as well as new cards that benefit Gigantic creatures. Legacy cards can also be from sets released after Mass Mutation.

Revenants Live Again (Again!)

Ghost Galaxy has resolved the issue in KeyForge Master Vault which was causing decks with Revenants in them to display incorrectly. This issue also prevented third party sites from properly being able to access that deck information.

Revenants now appear in their correctly assigned house, and are denoted with the proper revenant icon. As a result, third party sites are now able to properly access these decks.

Ask a Judge

Q: On my turn, I play Chronus that has been enhanced with 2 draw bonus icons. Can I resolve Chronus’ ability and archive a card after I resolve those bonus icons?

A: Yes. Chronus’ constant ability is available to resolve as soon as the card is in play, which is before bonus icons are resolved. So in this case, after you play Chronus, after each draw bonus icon on Chronus is resolved, you may archive a card.
