Vault Tour Las Vegas Recap
The last stop in the United States for the 2023 Vault Tour took place this weekend in Las Vegas, NV. Players spent three days in Sin City (no affiliation with Dis) participating in a Sealed Alliance tournament on Friday, with the main Archon and Alliance tournaments taking place on Saturday and Sunday.
Nova and Big Z hit the jackpot, winning the Archon and Alliance tournaments respectively.
The final Vault Tour of the 2023 season is set to take place October 6 – 8 in Florence, Italy. More detailed results for Vault Tour Las Vegas (and the four National Championships that also took place this weekend) are posted in KeyForge Play Wrap-Up below.
Grim Reminders Campaign Updates
The KeyForge: Grim Reminders Gamefound campaign received its first two updates from Ghost Galaxy this week.
The first update informed players that they would have to wait just a bit longer to plan on making their pledges, with the launch of the campaign being pushed back two weeks to October 12th.
The Grim Reminders campaign was originally scheduled to run from September 28th to October 17th. A new close date for the campaign has not yet been announced as of the time of this publication.
Ghost Galaxy cited the additional time would allow for more international backers of the KeyForge: Winds of Exchange campaign to receive their pledges prior to the start of the new campaign.
The second update which followed a few days later, offered a first glimpse at some of the common rarity cards from house Geistoid players can look forward to playing with in Grim Reminders.
Ask a Judge
I control three creatures and I use the creature on my left flank to fight my opponent’s Soleft. The result of this fight leaves both my creature and Soleft tagged for destruction. What creature does Soleft’s Destroyed: ability target?
Because creatures tagged for destruction don’t leave play until after all Destroyed: abilities have finished resolving, Soleft will target your left flank creature that you used to fight Soleft. That creature can’t be tagged for destruction twice, so the effect fails.
While you cannot choose to destroy a creature that has already been tagged for destruction, Soleft’s Destroyed: ability only has one eligible target (creature on the left flank) which does not allow for a choice.
