This week, Ghost Galaxy released several features to the Master Vault, implementing some features that will change the role of the Master Vault in Organized Play.

As of May 31, players can re-scan their owned decks to claim ownership of them, making them exclusively eligible to the owner (and their registered friends) in Ghost Galaxy Organized Play events. This ownership also means that players will be able to take advantage of the upcoming reprint and translation service, allowing players to print a copy of their favorite decks in whatever language they choose.

Along with Deck Ownership, Ghost Galaxy also released the official Alliance deck builder. Players can now use the Alliance feature to build decks out of their collection of owned decks.

Also revealed in the update was more details on the Event Key system, which will act as the official entry cost for tournaments where Ghost Galaxy is providing a cash prize. All players will receive a free event key in their vaults and can purchase further keys by redeeming digital Æmber (formerly Æmbershards). If necessary, a player can directly purchase Æmber to redem it for an event key.

Lastly in the update was the announcement that Winds of Exchange decks will be scannable starting today, June 5.

In my battleline, I have a Researcher token creature upgraded with FOF Transponder. On my opponent’s turn, they play Autocannon. What happens on a subsequent turn when the upgraded Researcher gets destroyed? Will FOF Transponder be able to attach to the new token creature?

No. The rules for ability state, “If resolving part of the instructions of a card ability causes other card effects to begin to resolve, resolve those other card effects before continuing to resolve the instructions of the first card.”

In this case that means as Researcher’s Destroyed ability (granted by FOF Transponder) is resolved, it makes a token creature. That token creature enters play and is dealt 1 damage by Autocannon, tagging it for destruction. FOF Transponder then attaches to the new token creature, but the new token creature’s Destroyed: ability will not resolve, because it is already tagged for destruction. As such, that new token creature will go to the discard pile, along with the original token creature and FOF Transponder.
