Archon Arcana Redesign
Archon Arcana was founded to resolve a major frustration for KeyForge players: official rules questions were often answered privately via email, leaving the wider community in the dark. By creating an open, contributor-driven wiki, the project transformed these responses into a permanent, publicly searchable resource.
Last week, the project underwent a facelift. According to a statement in the Archon Arcana discord, the update’s goal was to address some long standing infrastructure issues and work to ensure long-term stability. In the process, the main page received a new user interface, the beloved Card Gallery got a minor redesign, and after a hiatus spanning back to Dark Tidings, Deck Search has returned.

Playgroup & Event Finder Coming to KeyChain
The KeyChain team is celebrating its one year anniversary since the launch of the platform’s beta on March 31, 2025. In addition to a look at how KeyChain began, the team announced a major feature addition to the site, including support for upcoming event listings, and a playgroup/event finder, coming soon as a beta preview.
Event organizers can now schedule events in advance on KeyChain, and share the link to that event with their communities. Players can then register for events in advance, and event organizers can even start a tournament on Sloppy Tournaments from within the event page. When completed, tournament results can then be exported back into KeyChain.
Eventually, the KeyChain team plans to make these scheduled upcoming events visible through various playgroup and event finding pathways on the site, which will be coming soon in a beta state.
Portland Early Blorb Bonus Revealed
Ghost Galaxy revealed the artwork that will be part of the 2026 Portland Vault Tour, as part of the Early Blorb Bonus for attendees who purchase their tickets at least 30 days prior to the start of the event.
Portland will feature Moor Wolf’s illustration, created by Liiga Smilshkalne. The 5x7 prints will feature a serialization and location on one side, with the other side featuring clean artwork without overlays.
In addition, five 8x10 prints will be awarded as well, with three going to each tournament’s champion, and two going to players who are nominated for special recognition of service to the community or the event as part of the Amazing Archon Community Award. The three champion prints will also be framed for Vault Tours held in the United States.

This is your last chance to apply for a Community Card for 2026! If you lead or organize a KeyForge related project, group, team, league, or produce KeyForge content, or are part of a game store community that runs KeyForge organized play, you can apply to have your card included in this year’s set by filling out this application form. The last day to apply is April 5th, 2026.

Q: I have 7 cards in hand, including Staff Sergeant Rhea. I have Helmsman Spears in play. If I reap with Helmsman Spears and choose to discard Staff Sergeant Rhea as the first discard, how does the rest of this interaction resolve?
A: When resolving Helmsman Spears’ After Reap: ability, you would need to set the magnitude of the “any number” then proceed to resolve the instructions from there. For example, if you reaped with Helmsman Spears and chose a magnitude of 6, then discard Staff Sergeant Rhea and resolve its Scrap: ability to ready and reap with Helmsman Spears a second time, you would then set the magnitude for the second instance of Helmsman Spears’ After Reap: ability. If you choose 6 again, then you would discard the remaining 6 cards in your hand, then draw 6 cards for the second instance of Helmsman Spears’ After Reap: ability. With the second instance completely resolved, you would return to resolving the first instance, discarding a further 5 cards, then draw 6 cards to complete the resolution of the first instance.
