2026 Season Rules Document Updates

Last week, Ghost Galaxy released the updated rules documents for the start of the 2026 season, including Master Rulebook version 18.3 and Tournament Rules & Guidelines version 2.5.

Their corresponding news post details the most prominent changes, including some anticipated card errata regarding balance adjustments in Prophetic Visions and updates to the Alliance Restricted List.

Ghost Galaxy advises that the new rules documents go into effect on March 1, 2026, for the start of the Store Championship season.

Alliance Super League Announced

League organizer skred has announced the formation of a new online league: the Alliance Super League. The league “aims to be the premier online league for the Alliance format” says skred speaking to Bad Penny Press about the league’s formation. “It's been several years where Alliance has been on the Vault Tour, and outside of that and Store Championships, there isn't really an outlet for regular, competitive alliance play, and this league hopes to change that.”

Skred also mentions that main league play isn’t the only aspect, and that he is also hoping to conduct some side events as well. “The goal for these events is to encourage players to try more wacky or unconventional builds. Which in my personal experience is a great way to get people into the format for the first time. I've gotten people into Alliance first by talking about the type of decks they like playing in Archon or a Sealed deck they enjoyed pulling and going from there.”

Players interested in learning more or signing up should join the league’s Discord server. Registration is being conducted through this sign-up form. Sign-ups close on March 7, 2026.

A: Yes. Scrivener Favian’s constant ability is active as long as it is in play, and the Capture bonus icon resolves after the card is in play.
