Unboxing the 2 Player Starter Set
On Friday April 7th, Ghost Galaxy posted an update detailing the upcoming “2 Player Starter Set” for KeyForge. The accompanying video shows Director of Operations Michael Hurley and Game Developer Luke Olson unboxing the kit and showing its contents, which include two learning decks, two archon decks, rules, tokens, an QR code for a ‘Learn to Play’ video.
No release date was given, but retailers were advised to “be on the lookout for the release of the 2 Player Starter Set with [their] local distributor”.
Olson offered one final tease: naming a new house from Grim Reminders called ‘Geistoid’.
Record-Setting Deck Sale
History has been made with a record-setting secondhand sale of a KeyForge deck!
On March 29th, a member of the Keyforge Buy/Sell/Trade Facebook group listed Adm. Inslang, the Pink Fraud for auction with a starting bid of $1,000 USD. When bidding concluded on April 5th, the final bid was $3,600 USD - the highest recorded price of a secondary market sale for a KeyForge deck in history.
‘Pink Fraud’ is only one of two decks that have won two Vault Tours, and has a 33-10 record on the legacy Organized Play Master Vault tracker.
Ask a Judge
In my play area, I have Book of leQ and Fangtooth Cavern. On my turn, I resolve the Action: ability of Book of leQ and reveal a Star Alliance card, ending my turn. Does Fangtooth Cavern’s ability resolve?
No. End of turn effects happen just before the end of turn. Since resolving Book of leQ’s ability ends your turn immediately, Fangtooth Cavern’s ability will not resolve. .
